Myth
Social Care work is badly paid and the hours are long
Fact
We pay well over the national average and this is increased at weekends. We also pay an enhanced rate on bank holidays and over the Christmas period.
We also offer flexible working hours, People don’t just need care from 9 to 5, which means hours are available around the clock in a variety of combinations. If you need shorter hours which fit into your lifestyle better then that’s fine by us. Whatever personal or family commitments you have, there are invariably hours to suit your personal schedule.

Fact
Windrush is family owned company and we like to think – family run. Some of our carers have been with us since we began over 8 years ago. We also have carers who have passed their five-year service. We have very high retention numbers and we get great feedback from our staff about our initial and ongoing support and not just for work issues. You will become a valued part of the Windrush family
No one at Windrush Care works in isolation – as a member of our care team you’ll make friends and get support from others who share our values and goals. You’re also part of a wider network of health professionals like doctors, district nurses and social workers. Perhaps the most important group you become a part of is that of the client’s circle of family and friends – all working together in the best interests of the people you will look after.
